Grain Effects is a local business committed to the delivery of sustainable high quality wood and wood products grown and harvested in New Brunswick.
We supply unique pieces of custom designed furniture, a supply of locally grown and processed hardwood lumber, and specialty wood pieces.
Owner, Julia Cammack offers over 15 years of woodworking experience and knowledge. A proud maritimer, and a graduate of The Maritime College of Forest Technology. Her chosen medium is locally sourced wood from the Saint John River Valley, including pieces made using Fredericton’s own Stately Elms.
Winner of the 2008 Technology Innovation Pitch Challenge for her passionate “Grain Effects” business venture pitch, she has been pitching NB forest products ever since.
Largely commission based her work focuses on meeting the needs of her customers. From hand carved bowls to complete office suites, her custom pieces are included in private collections around the world.
Julia maintains a studio and woodworking shop in the Fredericton Industrial Park.
